Pipeline

Candidates first enter SOPC (Special Operations Preperation Course) before going into SFAS, after SFAS they enter SFQC, after SFQC they enter Robin Sage. After Robin Sage they can don the Green Beret. SOPC, SFAS, and SFQC are all self explainitory, in Roblox, you only need SFQC and Robin Sage. Robin Sage is a training exercise held in the fictional nation of Pineland near Fort Bragg/Liberty. In Roblox, I'd recommend buying Chief N Co's Robin Sage map, or getting some kind of rural forest map. In the actual Robin Sage, they mostly do FID (Foreign Internal Defense, if you don't know what that is you need to research more then come back to this page), but depending on the type of ODA you have, I recommend doing an altered/shortened version of it where it's mostly direct action. Coffee or Die made an amazing video on this, link at the end of the page.

Organization/Jobs

An ODA is a 12 man team, ODAs can deploy with less people (~10) if needed but they always have 12 slots open, view "ODA Composition" citation at the end of the page. Each SF company has 6 ODAs, Direct Action (Not to be confused with CTAC), Marine Operations, Dive, Military Free Fall, Ground Mobility Vehicle/Mounted, and Mountain. I recommend direct action since they can do MFF insertion, helicopter insertion, and marine insertion. Although direct action isn't as fun as a full unconventional warfare campaign, it's really all you can do in roblox. According to a former Green Beret: "There's a little variance here. Some groups or companies may number them differently or have different specialties related to the number, but for the most part it goes like this... 1 = generally a direct action team (door kickers)...2 could be a mountain/ vehicle team, 3 could be a boat team, 4 is generally always a HALO team (military freefall), 5 is generally a SCUBA team, 6 could be something else...etc, etc."

Firearms

Around the ISAF era, ODAs used Mk-17s and Mk-16s, however now the Mk-17 isn't used very often although they are still given to SF arms cages, so if operators want to use them, they can. These days they mostly use M4 SOPMOD Block 3s (Also known as "M4 URGI") and Mk-18 SOPMOD Block 2s with a 10.3 inch barrel, generally only DA ODAs are seen using these since the shorter barrel is good for CQB, however I'd bet it's up to operator preference. For pistols, they use the Glock 19 and not much else. For machine guns, the Mk-48 is prevelant, generally you'd find an 18B or 18C using one of these. Often times the 18F is also the sniper/observer for the ODA, ODAs have access to basically every common sniper rifle in the US Army, M107, M24 SWS, HK G28, MK14 Mod 0 EBR, SR-25, M40, Mk 12 SPR, and the Remington MSR are all among the list.

Gear

There is a pretty big variety in the gear ODAs use, most of which can be found by searching online, however one thing I will say is that regular ODAs do NOT use GPNVGs, they use PVS-31s mostly.

Tactics

ODAs are not a Tier 2 CAG, ODAs play an important indirect support role for the 0311s of the USMC and the 11Bs of the Big Army. A majority of your ODA's missions should be unique, an occasional HVT capture mission is good but there should be a wide variety of what your unit does, taking out AA, destroying weapons caches, and convoy ambushes are all missions ODAs get tasked with and are pretty easy to do in roblox. One thing your average ODA should NEVER do is hostage rescue, that's what CIFs/CRFs did but they were decommissioned and replaced with CTAC for a reason. ODAs are interesting in that sometimes they operate with artillery, CAS, QRF, UAV, SIGINT, and SBF support, and sometimes they operate with basically no support, it all depends on the mission, ODAs can adapt.
